About our clinic

Each clinician at Mount Merrion Physiotherapy is a Chartered Physiotherapist. We are allied healthcare professionals with a minimum 4 year University Honours Degree (NFQ level 8) and members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy (ISCP). Most of the team have studied further to Master of Science in Physiotherapy (NFQ level 9).

The emphasis of our training is to provide practical and clinical skills with a strong academic and theoretical foundation. In accordance with our professional code of practice we use scientifically validated clinical assessment & treatment techniques within evidence-based medicine framework.

The ISCP is the only physiotherapist’s professional body recognised by the Department of Health and the Health Service Executive (HSE).

How We Work

Our Established Reputation

Word of mouth referrals make up the largest portion of our new client referrals which we feel is an endorsement of our continued success in bringing a high standard of physiotherapy to those within our community. If you are struggling with pain, restricted mobility, a loss of strength or a functional issue and have yet to find a solution - please come and see us, we are confident you will be satisfied you did. We enjoy excellent relationships with GP’s and other medical professionals should further investigation or other forms of medical care be needed to assist in your treatment and rehabilitation process.

Team Work

We combine our individual skills and experience for your benefit.
Naturally, each Chartered Physiotherapist will have a different educational background and may have developed greater skill and experience in dealing with particular conditions gained over many years of practise. It is important that as a clinic, we are able to combine our shared experience for your benefit. As such we dedicate time to sharing knowledge and experience with each other as part of ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) - ensuring you receive the very best treatment.

Complex Case Discussions

Each week we have team meetings where we confidentially review complex clinical cases currently being managed in the clinic. This provides an opportunity to share skills and expertise. Quite often if one of us is ‘stuck’ in terms of being able to progress a course of treatment a solution is often quickly found at one of these meetings. Our aim is always to treat our clients as quickly and effectively as possible and so avoid unnecessary treatment or delays in recovery.
